While in theory this would be nice, in practice, it can make a call untenable. Having two people trying to set their volume with jami also changing it, is chaos. Please consider either just stop auto-managing audio levels, or at least allow users to disable this feature.

Popup banner notification are disappering eventually. When doing my internet search for distributed messaging apps, I found you, (q)Tox and Kizuna.
It seems like this project is in the process of creating the opportunity to have *group chat*, but is not yet there.
With this issue/comment I'd like to raise awareness about [Kizuna](https://kizuna.foundation/en/), because I think they have a good (better?) chance of succeeding at group chats.
The reason I say this is that they build on a framework intended for Distributed applications: [Holochain](https://holochain.org/).
It seems to me that this project however still has to invent some of the architectural design choices to support group chat. (As seen in [the docs](https://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/ring-project/wikis/technical/2.3.-Swarm))
On the other hand, Jami has already nicely working apps in production (with 1:1 chat), whereas Kizuna is still in development. (They're doing a [crowdfunding](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hci-japan/kizuna-protect-your-conversations-with-confidence) right now)
I wish this nice project all the best luck!

Why do you have specific install rules for every system instead of just using some default rules, and maybe add some special cases, where necessary, like basically every other project does?
You could just use some fallback, which uses the most common stuff.
I could also try to add some void installadion method myself, but I'm not sure, where to start.https://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/jami-client-qt/-/issues/236Client crash with multiple calls2021-01-04T16:45:39ZAline Gondim SantosClient crash with multiple callsreproduce steps:

However, only a few minutes later, I can no longer send any message to him. My suspicion is that Ring is not using a sophisticated transport layer encryption and was easily identified by package analysis by the Chinese Great Firewall (GFW), which has been known to do such things and is very good at it. So, what kind of transport layer encryption is Ring using? I am not very good at network, but I know that the Shadowsocks project has been long fighting with the GFW and has some very good solutions to bypass the GFW. So, can Ring implement the same method to camouflage the packages? Many people in China need a secure communication tool and connect to the outside world due to massive surveillance system in China. The Chinese Communist party is also exporting its surveillance technology to other totalitarian countries. So, it would be a shame if Ring cannot bypass GFW. I am not sure if TLS1.3 is also a good candidate for this.
Additionally, I have frequent crash of Ring on my MacOS 10.12.4, also iPhone. Not sure why that happens.
