I haven’t used Jami to call yet, but based on the labels for those preferences, I would assume these meanings:
- The Download folder is where files are saved if the person you are chatting with sends you an arbitrary file, such as a spreadsheet file.
- The Record folder is where recordings of everyone’s video and audio feeds can be saved after a call, as either a video or audio file.
If those assumptions are correct, I think these should be the default folders:
- **Conversations** Download folder: `~/Downloads`
- **Call recording** Record folder: `~/Desktop`

I chose Desktop for the Record folder because it could be either video or audio, and macOS programs conventionally don’t store new files in the user’s home folder. So Desktop is a generic place where the user can notice the new file and move it to the correct place. If the Record folder only saved video or only saved audio, I would make the default Record folder `~/Movies` or `~/Music` (since macOS has no generic `~/Video` or `~/Audio` folders).

Hard-Reset is necessary.
I've reproduced it 3 times.
In Win-Event log no System errors are found.
BlueScreeView don't show dumps because no bluescreen.
Can you reproduce it with an other Win8.1?
Maybe it is a specific problem with my system.
Then could also can close it.
For me it was important to give you a feedback.
I really like the projekt and maybe it is a common problem.

### Windows computer
1. “Download Jami (beta)” for Windows from https://jami.net/download-jami-windows/
2. Installed and created an account with username and **no** password
3. Settings → Account → + Link another device → PIN code shows
### Android smartphone
4. Download Jami using the Google Play Store
5. Link device
6. `Bug A` They advised that they are unable to skip the password, even though there is no password associated with the account.
### Back to Windows computer
7. Add a password to the Jami account
8. Settings → Account → + Link another device → Enter password and `Bug B` Jami says password is incorrect. Does the user need to wait a certain amount of time before the password is updated on the network?

I'm trying to use my SIP account with Jami. It is from an ISP also providing VoIP calls.
Since I don't know whether this is specific to my provider, or a more general issue, I'm providing specific details about this setup.
My ISP setup is: UDP transport, no TLS nor SRTP, they provide an username/password and one should connect via their proxy. I'm not sure one can even connect to it from outside their network.
They have two proxies actually (IPv4 only):
srvrm.p.ims.tiscali.net (SRV record)
core1.p.ims.tiscali.net (A record)
213.205.21.8 (actual IP address)
srvmi.p.ims.tiscali.net (SRV record)
core2.p.ims.tiscali.net (A record)
94.32.130.112 (actual IP address)
These are the connection settings I'm using on a Grandstream ATA where I can place and receive calls:
Primary SIP Server: ims.tiscali.net
Outbound Proxy: 213.205.21.8
SIP User ID: $MYPHONENUMBER
Authenticate ID: $MYPHONENUMBER@ims.tiscali.net
Password: $MYPASSWORD
These are the connection settings I'm trying to use with Jami:
Name: $MYPHONENUMBER
SIP Server: I've tried using all of SRV name, A name and IP address.
Password: $MYPASSWORD
Proxy: I've tried using all of SRV name, A name and IP address.
What should happen: I should be able to register with my provider and be able to place and receive calls.
What happens actually: Jami is not sending a single SIP packet anywhere. At most it's performing DNS resolution via SRV or A records, receiving responses with the correct IP address.
I've started Jami with "jami-gnome -d" but I saw no relevant debug info. I'm running wireshark on the box running Jami, and by filtering for "udp.port==5060 || sip" I see no packets.Ming Rui ZhangMing Rui Zhanghttps://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/jami-client-android/-/issues/719the app hijacks the microphone after a call2020-04-17T12:15:43ZExterothe app hijacks the microphone after a callAfter ending a call or a video call, Jami occupies the microphone, and when i wants to use another application that requires the microphone, such as an audio recorder, it says that it is occupied by the system or a application.
