Jami can't send messages in a multi-user swarm
[Bug report]
- Platform: [Android | F-Droid]
- OS version:Android
- Jami version:455
- Distribution channel : [Jami.net]
- Account-related devices: [single]
- State of the app when the bug appears: [foreground]
- Can you reproduce the bug: [at will ]
Steps to reproduce (STR):
- Running Jami on a particular Android for more than a day, Jami may fail to send messages to certain active multi-user swarms. These swarms tend to have more members, especially more active members.
Messages can't be sent, the message won't appear in the swarm's interface, and no one else will receive it. After restarting Jami, these previously sent messages will still not appear in swarm, but swarm will return to normal and new messages can be sent.
The probability of this rises significantly with time, (but my personal guess is that this should be related to complex network conditions in a multi-user swarm, where some users may have restarted Jami multiple times in the meantime, or where some users' ip addresses have changed in the meantime)
My Jami has this problem whenever I run it for more than 3 days, which can probably be solved by restarting Jami, but I think it would be good for Jami to have a mechanism for solving the problem on its own.
I asked other users and they often experience this state as well, especially when Jami is running continuously.
I didn't keep to the relevant logs, if the developer thinks it's necessary then I'll try to reproduce the bug and then keep the logs.
- Actual result:Messages cannot be sent and are not saved locally.
- Expected result:Messages should be sent successfully and not have problems after a long run.
