Audio feedback ring andoid 20180712

Dear All,

When connecting two smartphones running andriod ring 20180712 (from F-Droid) using the same WIFI network, video calls always produce heavy audio feedback/echo to a point killing useful communication.

Turning microphone and speaker volumes down and shielding both smartphones acoustically, does not seem to help. The issue seems to come from delay and microphones picking up speaker sounds from the very same device.

Is this known and is there a way to circumvent this (other than using headphones all the time)?

Regards,

Michael
