Read status issues

• Steps:

1. I send a message from Android to iOS

2. The recipient receives, opens and read the message

3. the read status does not update on Android until the iOS user exits the conversation

• Actual result: the read status is updated on Android when the iOS recipient exits the conversation
• Expected result: the read status on Android should update when the iOS recipient opens the conversation
