Jami crashes when no longer synced with secondary device

Bug report

  • Device model: iPhone 12

  • iOS version: iOS 18.5

  • Jami version: 3.98 (Atlas)

  • Distribution channel : App Store

  • Account-related devices: multiple (2)

  • State of the app when the bug appears: background

  • Can you reproduce the bug: intermittently

Steps to reproduce (STR):

  1. Have an Jami account on iPhone
  2. Have the same Jami account on a computer running Ubuntu 24.04
  3. Open up Jami on iPhone and Jami on the computer
  4. Wait for the devices to synchronize
  5. Quit Jami on the computer and close the app on the iPhone (note that clearing Jami from recent apps doesn't seem to make a difference in this scenario)
  6. Open up Jami on iPhone after a bit, and Jami crashes regardless of the number of times I try to open it
  • Actual result: Jami crashes ever time I try to open it

  • Expected result: Jami opens as usual

(Possibly helpful?) note: I still receive notifications on my iPhone while not being able to open the app
