Does this issue also relate to adding keyboard accelerators? eg. _Cancel can be accessed with Alt+C?

Suggestions for strings in Setting > General tab

1. Rename Enable desktop notifications to Show notifications
desktop seems superfluous, seems to have the same meaning without and seems easier to translate
   Homogenize string with iOS and Android as the concept of desktop doesn't seem to work well on smartphones/tablets

5. Rename Display hyperlink views in the chatview to Show link previews
   Analogy Print Preview, with the p lowercase for consistency with Jami convention
   in the chatview seems superfluous as it is under the heading Chatview

It's for both side, you don't see when others are typing and you don't send the information

1. Perhaps a drop-down with options, instead of the toggle? Or options like System theme, Light, Dark like the inspiration from Firefox shown in the image below.

Tried unsuccessfully to put the file below on RJN (review.jami.net) using notes to self listed at jami-client-gnome#795 (closed).

JamiStrings.qml

1. Is this something that your team could use?
2. Should keyboard accelerators be added to the file (_ or &)? Eg. property string copy: qsTr("_Copy")
3. Should strings have more Uppercase letters? Similar to LibreOffice, Firefox, Thunderbird, GIMP. There are Style Guides at http://fgouget.free.fr/wine-po/.
4. Should more ellipses … be added? To indicate that a popup/dialog/another user action is required before the selection will be done (hence it can be canceled)?
5. Tried to remove first-person (me/you) from strings where someone other than the end-user might be doing that instruction.

For JamiStrings.qml, a diff will be better to get the difference as it's updated a lot

6. There seems to be full-stops missing from some strings; however, could not locate where the strings are.

Can the following please be implemented in this issue:

1. Remove spaces before and after the +
2. As Jami and GIMP are GNU software, prefer:
   a) Delete (not Del) (However, having Del is better for small screens)
   b) Escape (not Esc) (However, having Esc is better for small screens)
   c) Shift+Ctrl+ (not Ctrl+Shift+) (However, muscle memory for Windows users would prefer Ctrl+Shift+)

Firefox uses Del and the order Ctrl+Shift+

GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) uses Delete and the order Shift+Ctrl+

LibreOffice uses Shift+Ctrl+

2. consistent order of Shift+Ctrl+
3. Can the window title be changed from Keyboard Shortcut Table to Keyboard Shortcuts? i.e. an s is added to Shortcut and Table is removed.

The opposite of link used in Jami is revoke and remove. Should operations and actions in Jami which are the opposite of link be (re)named unlink?

Should the current Remove text used as the opposite of Link new device be changed to Unlink? Please see image below of the Desktop client.

   (a) Do you really want to unlink selected device? To continue, enter account password and click Unlink. (seems preferable if it can be assumed that operator knows that this is the Jami account password not the user account of the operating system)
   (b) Confirm unlinking of device with account password.
   (c) Confirm unlinking of device with Jami account password.
   (d) Enter account password to confirm device unlinking.
3. current seems superfluous as there is no other password, eg current and new; hence, change Enter current password to:
   (a) Enter account password (seems preferable if it can be assumed that operator knows that this is the Jami account password not the user account of the operating system)
   (b) Enter Jami account password
   (c) Enter password
4. Change Remove to:
   (a) Unlink
   (i) seems preferable as more suitable with small screens like the Purism Librem 5 device
   (ii) buttons refer to actions (verbs) whereby Unlink is a verb
   (b) Unlink device (this seems the opposite of Link new device and may be more explicit/better for screen readers; however, device may be superfluous if the heading/preceding text has unlink device/unlinking of device, respectively)
5. Should the Unlink button be red to be consistent with button in the removing a conversation dialog? See point 3 in #1730 (comment 51838)
