Steps to reproduce the issue (scenario):

1. I'm logged in and online on Jami on an iPhone 14 (iOS 17.5.1), and I want to link a new device (macOS) to my public Jami account
2. On iPhone, I go to account settings and tap on Link another device and a PIN appears
3. On macOS, I open Jami and select I already have an account then Import from another device
4. I enter the PIN and log into my account on the new macOS device
5. I click on one of the conversations in the smart list, and the content of the chat I had with my contact disappeared.
6. A banner appears with the option to either Remove contact or Migrate conversation
7. I click on Migrate conversation: the whole conversation is wiped out and Jami displays Private conversation created.
8. We tried it on Ubuntu instead of macOS and got the same result.

• Actual result: it synchronizes with my other devices, so the content of some of my conversations (NOT ALL) are erased on all my devices.

• Expected result: Jami should display Loading while the conversation is not synchronized. The whole content of the conversation should eventually appear. The wiped out conversation should not appear on my other devices.
