This issue has been known for a while, moreover I'll add that when joining or leaving a conversation. The user will be prompted with a blank notification at the OS level on linux. #1889 (comment 53929)

For an account that is online on multiple devices, if you join or leave a conversation on one device, should notifications show on the other devices to say:

1. You joined the conversation.
2. You left the conversation.
