Missing icon in taskbar

I have observed this bug while using GNOME on several Linux distributions (e.g. Ubuntu 22.04, Fedora 41). The Jami icon is visible in the applications menu:
However, a generic icon is used in the taskbar when Jami is launched:
The same problem occurs when switching between windows using Alt + Tab:
Link items together to show that they're related or that one is blocking others.
