Strange. CreateDXGIFactory2 should be from d3d11.dll.

@o9c4 Can you post some details about the system you're using that could help us identify/reproduce the issue? e.g. Windows version, machine specs, etc.

The issue appeared after Jami update.

I tried to reinstall the both setup files (64-bit) and (beta), but the same error message.

I just tested on a VM with Windows 8.1 Pro build 9600. Works as expected. I can attempt to locate a Windows 8 ISO to test with if you confirm the precise Windows version you're using.

Also, after a few web searches, SweetFX comes up often as a culprit for this or a similar issue. Do you have software installed that has possibly modified/replaced system DLLs?

Strange. CreateDXGIFactory2 should be from d3d11.dll.

Ghidra shows that Qt6Gui.dll imports it from DXGI.dll.

I can be wrong, but does not this page show that CreateDXGIFactory2 appeared in Windows 8.1 only?

@o9c4 According to documentation, Windows 8 is not supported by Qt6. So even if developers will be able to fix this issue, the only long-term solution is to upgrade your OS.

@o9c4 I think it is possible (but NOT recommended) to install two OS: For example Windows 8 and Windows 10.

But maybe it also helps if you download older versions of Jami. Link: https://dl.jami.net/windows/archive/ Not sure if Qt5 is supported (https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/supported-platforms.html).
