The v4l subsystem is designed to host a variety of devices, from video camera to touch sensors in your case. We don't want to restrict Ring to a particular type of devices, and that's why your touch sensor is listed. This is not a bug. What if you want to stream your touch activity through Ring, for example ?
@hlefeuvre Thank you for your response. It has provided insight we were not aware of.
Should the label "Camera Settings" be updated to be more accurate? Perhaps "Camera/Sensor Settings".
Is it possible to have more than one stream in Ring?
Perhaps a user could have more than one camera? A use case could be multiple cameras around a residence/business. Could be very useful if using Ring in the configuration as an IoT.
Perhaps part of the "Audio Settings" and the "Camera Settings" could be combined into "Input device settings". Then multiple inputs could be created, eg. audio, camera, touch.
Another heading could be created called "Output device settings". Multiple output could be created, eg audio.
