To implement this, a plugin would be ideal. However this needs at least two big changes:
Plugins should be able to show buttons in the chatview
Swarm. Because poll are a great idea, but useless today, because we only support 1 to 1 chat.
So, I added the ticket into the features request list and into the contributions propositions list if any contributor want to work on it, and forwarded to the person who manages the roadmap. However, we don't plan to work on this any time soon so I close this, because this will take months or years to come.
Thanks for your reply. May I ask why is it not possible to support multi-person chats (regular version of Jami)?
Because you can make audio and video calls with multiple people.
I thought "Swarm" is a separate program and will be different than the regular Jami (desktop) version.
(https://github.com/AmarOk1412/jami-cli/ Missing features but wanted: Calls)
So in the future there's only one program/app (for all operating systems) that includes "Swarm"?
jami-cli is a Jami client but in terminals and not maintained by the team, it,s just a personal project. But desktop client will support swarm and no it's not a different version.
Quote will probably come but it's not in our priorities
