Windows Ring failure
I installed the 64 bit Windows version of Ring on a Dell Latitude E6520 with 64 bit Windows 7 Pro SP1, Intel i5 2.3 GHz processor, 8 GB RAM
I can connect with another Windows Ring user, but only for seconds, perhaps up to a minute. I then see this Windows error message:
Ring.exe has stopped working Windows can check online for a solution
Check online for a solution Close the program
Not surprisingly, the "Check online for a solution" option does not work.
I also see this Windows error message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information
Both of us see video randomly, although audio works. The icons at the bottom of the Ring window appear only for a second or 2.
How to fix?
