[Question] Does "connect from backup" more secure than "connect from other device" ?
Hi. We have currently 2 ways to make 2nd (or 3rd, ....) device make use of SAME Jami ID:
- backup Jami ID on original device being created on, then copy/past archive file to new device, & finally use "connect from backup" option on new device ......
- use "connect from other device" option by PIN generation .....
Which of these 2 options are more secure ? I'm asking this, because I read that using "connect from other device" through PIN generation will "NEED TO EXPOSE ID TO JAMI".
"expose ID to Jami" what this mean exactly ? Is this mean transmission of private key across Internet ? & if so, then does such Internet transition of private key achieved on central server or in decentralized way ? And does such transmission across Internet carry additional risk to unhide private key for hackers ?
