Can't add second device without knowing password
Short version: is it possible to copy files from one PC to another PC so that they can share a Jami account? I tried activating a PIN but it requires me to know a password, and I'm fairly sure I never set one. Also I tried exporting the account info but that also requires the same password. Can I do it by copying files instead? I would expect that if a password has been set it should be unrecoverable, but if there's a way to add a second device without requiring the password that would be great.
Longer version: I have an iPad, a laptop and a desktop all with Jami installed. The laptop can successfully connect to the iPad, but the audio is terrible and video even worse, so I'd like to call the iPad from the desktop instead, and hopefully that would be usable. The desktop however can't call the iPad, it just says "missed outgoing call" and nothing appears on the iPad, even though the laptop has successfully (but unusably) called it a few seconds earlier. That's why I'm trying to add the desktop to the laptop's account.
I would also be delighted with any solution which would allow the desktop to call the iPad directly from its own account, or any clue why this might repeatedly fail. Is there a log file somewhere which explains why the outgoing calls are all dropped?
Also could I request that one of your help items or FAQs address this kind of problem when trying to connect two new Jami users for the first time? Thanks a lot!
