Issue generated from Tuleap's migration script. Originally submitted by: PDGb6e (pdgb6e)
* Environment:
I followed instructions on here to install on Ubuntu 16.04:
https://ring.cx/en/download/gnu-linux
sudo sh -c "echo 'deb https://dl.ring.cx/ring-nightly/ubuntu_16.04/ ring main' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ring-nightly-man.list"
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys A295D773307D25A33AE72F2F64CD5FA175348F84
sudo add-apt-repository universe
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install ring
* Reproduce steps:
After installation of ring. All i did was click on the app from unity.
* Expected result:
The expected result was supposed to be ring actually opening up and working and suppose not eating more than 1gb of ram, yet it filled up 18gb of my ram in 2minutes!!
* Actual result:
It did not even open and i kept seeing my ram usage increasing more and more drastically until my system was unusable.
My pc almost crashed because of this!!! luckily i killed it in time.
Now im new to ring and this was the first time installing ring on ubuntu 16.04 and im not impressed at all. seriously, this made me very angry after seeing my system become unstable.
Also i can see in the commands to add to add the repo that its the nightly version, assuming that this is unstable, then why post this as the means to update ring?
Can someone please tell me, if this is a bug or if ring is unstable then i can know not to waste my time and risk system crashing!
