gnome-ring 100% cpu usage
Issue generated from Tuleap's migration script. Originally submitted by: René Ribaud (uggla)
A detailed description of the bug. Use following fields for description field:
* Environment:
[uggla@ugglalaptop hackathon-gre]$ cat /etc/redhat-release && uname -a
Fedora release 26 (Twenty Six)
Linux ugglalaptop 4.12.11-300.fc26.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Sep 7 18:32:12 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
* Reproduce steps:
gnome-ring goes to 100% cpu usage several minutes after launch. The application is completely unusable.
* Expected result:
Usable application.
* Actual result:
My assumption because I already had this kind of issue previously with gnome-contact.
I think gnome-ring is reading my contacts. As I'am in a big company the enterprise ldap contains a huge number of contacts (+100k).
So I think application is gathering the contacts and populating them into the gui but quickly the application seems not able to manage them.
If there is an option to disable this behavior, then I could confirm that assumption.
