The old device selections were being saved whenever we destroyed the
pulse stream, overriding and thereby breaking new device selection.

Also added whitespace checking pre-commit hook when autogen.sh is called.

99 % of these are just whitespace changes. Some unnecessary includes
removed as well

split audio mainloop into smaller specific functions
simplify pulse audiostream
remove unused pulse functions
