Awareness about other distributed messaging projects

Raising awareness of other open source projects working on distributed messaging, with group chat

When doing my internet search for distributed messaging apps, I found you, (q)Tox and Kizuna. It seems like this project is in the process of creating the opportunity to have group chat, but is not yet there.

With this issue/comment I'd like to raise awareness about Kizuna, because I think they have a good (better?) chance of succeeding at group chats. The reason I say this is that they build on a framework intended for Distributed applications: Holochain. It seems to me that this project however still has to invent some of the architectural design choices to support group chat. (As seen in the docs)

On the other hand, Jami has already nicely working apps in production (with 1:1 chat), whereas Kizuna is still in development. (They're doing a crowdfunding right now)

I wish this nice project all the best luck!
(and I hope this place is appropriate to inform the Jami community about other like-minded open-source projects)
