So for each encryption part (certificates, TLS, DHT, message encryption, add-new-device encryption, ...), a quantum save cypher should be added additionally to the asymmetric not quantum save alternative that is used already (or will be used in a new release of the corresponding crypto part). For symmetric crytpo, it would be great to use at least 256 bit, for example in hash functions output or keys for AES or ChaCha20.
This would prevent "save now decrypt later" attacks.https://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/jami-project/-/issues/1577Update / Upgrade fails2023-06-13T12:07:55ZJames BealeUpdate / Upgrade failsUbuntu 22.04 LTS

You do seem to be the only truly anonymous, universal platform chat app available anywhere for personal use. Signal keeps saying they are getting rid of the phone number requirement but that is either a pipe dream or a lie.
There are reasons why not broadcasting my presence is important to me so this would, unfortunately, be a deal breaker for me to use Jami or recommend it to others.https://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/jami-project/-/issues/1504Jami linux application crashes after image insertion2022-10-20T11:30:38ZrehejuhanJami linux application crashes after image insertionUbuntu 22.04 Jami application version 202210171819.

Above was repeated about 50x until Killed.
Image was displayed ok at linked Android device.
Crash occurs only in that chat window when scrolled close to that image insertion point. E.g. when it is enough outside in history, crash does not occur.
Tried to delete account, removed all configuration files from /.cache, /.config, /.local/share and linked account again - crash still occurs.https://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/jami-project/-/issues/1474Save Conversation History2022-09-09T15:31:02ZthoranSave Conversation HistoryThis request is prompted by the need to destroy a conversation in order to initiate a swarm-based convo. I'd like to download a conversation first before doing that. I could have the participant create a new account, but it shouldn't be as hard as it is to copy that conversation. Select-all just selects one message and not the contents of all messages. Perhaps that's a security feature, but I suspect it is an incidental rather than a deliberate one. Correct me if I'm wrong. Is there a way to decrypt the conversation and dump it from the command line, since I don't need a means of doing that from the GUI, but don't mind if you did provide that, even if your efforts should be put elsewhere if the ability to do it from the CLI is easier to implement or already exists. Also, the phrase "Migrate conversation" on the button to switch to swarm-based convo's is very misleading as the conversation is DELETED not migrated.https://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/jami-project/-/issues/1473[Android] Can I stop incoming calls from ringing?2022-09-08T11:57:27Zcyorimer[Android] Can I stop incoming calls from ringing? When using the Android phone application, a ringtone is always made when an incoming call is received.

using your own account from the contact list (all Jami accounts in the contact list were deleted and added again so you have "Is swarm: True")
Steps to reproduce
Windows 10: You send the text message "Test 5": but you don't receive any message on your mobile phone( Android) if you view the chat.
BUT if you return back to the contact list and select the contact again
you suddenly receive the message of the Windows 10 Account if you view the chat list again.https://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/jami-project/-/issues/1355[Feature Request] change the size of the (individual) windows [even for 1:1 c...2024-01-29T21:28:15ZElys[Feature Request] change the size of the (individual) windows [even for 1:1 calls]all supported OS:

This is possible using Zoom. Example: https://youtu.be/v3IPAbpVjd4?t=69
Also Telegram supports this feature. Example scenario:
You start a rendezvous point and ask other participants to join. You did not have contact to this participants through Jami before, so you cannot use certificates. So restricting to known contacts is not an option. If someone sends you a request to be added to your Jami contacts list, you do not know if this is one of the person you have asked to join or some other person who somehow get the ID of the rendezvous point (for example, by capturing the traffic to a dht proxy that does not use https).
So not restricting to known contacts and leaving it open for everyone is not an option.
You do not want to chat with every person before chatting via Jami so asking everyone for the ID or username in Jami is not an option, too.
I would suggest to add a password mode for rendezvous points so you can simply send a password to every person who is allowed to join.https://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/jami-project/-/issues/1343chats2021-11-11T14:12:22Zsmit smitchatsafter the updates received in September-November, the ability to delete messages from the chat disappeared.after the updates received in September-November, the ability to delete messages from the chat disappeared.https://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/jami-project/-/issues/1270sip calls always drop after 32 seconds2021-06-25T20:25:42Zblerp deprsip calls always drop after 32 secondsI am using the latest version of jami on debian 10 linux.
