Get rid of password on account creation
Issue generated from Tuleap's migration script. Originally submitted by: Mathias (mat)
When you create an account, youre asked to "Choose a strong password [...] to protect your Ring account." IMO this is a *very* bad idea. At this stage its unclear what the password is used for, I asked on IRC and apparently its only used for linking further devices.
Ask for a password when you want to link a device, and default to creating a random password and show that as a QR code. Avoid to force the user to remember stuff they don't know what they are about.
If ring is supposed to be an app for everyone (instead of just for nerds and paranoid people), asking for a useless password on account creation will kill mass adoption and make 45% use dead simple passwords, 45% immediately forget the password, only a few % will choose a good pw and remember it.
