Using email to send IP addresses as an alternative to DHT
Can using email, SMS, or other methods to send IP addresses be a backup solution for DHT?
As a publicly available server, DHT is vulnerable to attacks or restrictions.
Can we choose to exchange IP addresses through email, SMS, or other means for communication when DHT is not smooth?
The information containing the IP address can be in public plaintext or encrypted characters. When our friends obtain this information (such as a character), they can obtain our IP address and contact us.
In many regions, there are too many software that cannot be used due to server bans. I am accustomed to planning for the worst, which is how to implement P2P when DHT cannot be used.
Many software can achieve P2P services without the need for servers, as long as the IP address is obtained.
Can JAMI support such a feature?
