Getting an "please enter a valid phone number" error when registering

A detailed description of the bug. Use following fields for description field:
* Environment:
Android Marshmallow 6.0.1
* Reproduce steps:
I've got the Ring app off Google Play, and tried to register.
* Expected result:
Registration to finish correctly, and me to be able to use the app.
* Actual result:
An error pops up saying "Please enter a valid phone number."
Link items together to show that they're related or that one is blocking others.
