I was not able to reproduce the issue after testing on a few devices (Moto G3, Moto G5, Zenfone 2) vertically or horizontally. The only thing I noticed is a ~2 sec delay that can indeed be misleading. If this is what the issue is about, adding a loader on the preview during this delay could be a solution to indicate the user that the camera switching is in progress.

Do you have any other information on this? (device model, android version...)

I can confirm the issue with my Huawei P20.

1. I launch Jami on Android.
2. I make a call to a Jami/linux vertically. Everything is fine.
3. I switch the camera on Android. The rotation is not good on the Jami/linux

It seems it is a Jami/linux issue. Android to Android works fine.

In fact it is not a Android issue.

It's happening if HW encoding is enabled on Jami/Linux (Using nvenc/h264)
