Switching between horizontal and vertical chat view does not change the view

For me the view shown in both cases is the horizontal chat view, but in Jami's case it is called the vertical view. #1142 (closed)

Cause both layout seems ok

Looks like my mind is somewhere else today. I had thought that the chat view would change one way or another. And now suspect that it just changes within a phone call.
