"Jump to" function in Chat log search cannot be used

I use the latest version (stable version) of Jami. I find that the function of searching Chat log is normal, but the function of "jumping" to the location of relevant Chat log is abnormal and cannot be used. version：202306121117

Thanks. But the velocity is very low. Can I call MessagesAdapter.loadConversationUntil() after assigning the value 0 to verticalScrollBar.position ?

There is a patch you could test, but it is still buggy so we decided to put that aside to revisit it along with a bigger change suggested by @atraczyk. We did not forget the issue ;) .

With the swarm-history stack in Gerrit there is no need for load Conversation Until anymore. This patch should be easier.

@sblin Could you imagine showing me in a screencast how the "Jump to" function should work? It doesn't look like it works for me now. Version: 202402291651.

For example, I use the messages to search for a keyword I'm familiar with. I find a message from 12 August 23 at 1:57, click "Jump to". Close the activated search view by clicking on the magnifying glass again. What I see are messages between 14 and 20 August 23. The message in question is not among them.

I would exspect

• that I could jump back to the chat view without having to first close the search.
• that I will find the message in question.
• that this message is somehow highlighted as soon as the jump is performed.
