Screen share: Is "Share Area" not available anymore?

I am using the newest beta version of Jami: 202301101703

I think there is no option "Share area" (video call Windows 10 -> Android).

Can you please make it possible to select "Share area" again?

On Windows this feature was temporarily removed in favor of the screen sharing and window sharing improvements.

It is our intention to further improve the dxgigrab device to reallow that feature on the windows system.

Any news when this feature will be available again? I've seen that there is a patch where you reimplement fullscreen @pmagnier-slimani

Aline left the company in 2023 if I'm not mistaken, and as far as I know nobody has worked on this feature since. To be honest with you, it will probably remain on hold for the foreseeable future; we have too few people in the team and too many higher-priority tasks to work on this at the moment. (The patch you've seen by Page is a relatively simple UI improvement which isn't related to the screen sharing functionality.)

Ok - Thanks for the information and your answer - I think it would be currently more important that this issue will be fixed when it comes to sharing a screen: #1242 (comment 48180) (same issue since year(s)?)
