compatibility Swarm; Non-Swarm, Multi-Swarm
I would like to read informations about if and how Swarm; Non-Swarm, Multi-Swarm can interact.
For example:
- Swarm <-> Non-Swarm won't work if you want to receive text messages and/or attachments (jami-project#1389 (closed))
- Swarm <-> Multi-Swarm won't work if you want to receive text messages and/or attachments ? (jami-project#1425 (closed))
- What about Non-Swarm <-> Multi-Swarm when it comes to text messages and/or attachments ?
However:
- Calls Swarm <-> Non-Swarm are possible (at least I had no issues; just 1:1; what about group video/audio calls)?
- What about Non-Swarm <-> Multi-Swarm (?= Swarm Call? https://review.jami.net/q/topic:call-swarm ) when it comes to make a video call (1:1 AND group video call) ?

calls and messages are two separate concepts.
Can you provide a link in the description how you can find out if you are using Swarm; Non-Swarm; Multi-Swarm ?

Ok, so take any application (Discord/Signal/etc).
Say you're Alice and you have 2 conversations. One with Bob (1:1 private) - One with several members (private multiple, e.g. Dad/Mom/Sister/Brother/Dog).
Swarm <-> Non-Swarm won't work if you want to receive text messages and/or attachments Swarm <-> Multi-Swarm won't work if you want to receive text messages and/or attachments ?It's literally 2 conversations that are no connections at all. If you send a message to a conversation, it will not send to any other conversation. If Alice sends a message to Bob, there is NO WAY that family receives the message.
So that's the answer. A conversation got a mode and a conversation is not related to other conversations.

There is no non-swarm anymore. All conversations are a swarm with a mode (1:1 or private groups for now)
Calls Swarm <-> Non-Swarm are possible
This doesn't exists/make sense
A Call is not a swarm. You can:
- Call a contact (Alice calls Bob) - history is the conversation they have
- Host a rendezvous for a group (rendezvous point or if you have a group swarm, you can host a call for this group and announce in the conversation)
Merge call together (e.g. if you call Family and Bob separately, you can merge the 2 calls to have a conference with all participants. But Bob will only see the conversation with Alice).
