Questions: Send messages / make calls

I have the following questions: 2 Peers: Bob and Alice

• If just Alice adds Bob to the contact list (by searching the username) and writes a message to Bob - will Bob receive the message? I think Bob has to accept Alice's invitation first - afterwards he'll receive the message? Same if he wants to receive an attachment?

• If just Alice adds Bob to the contact list (by searching the username; Bob never added Alice to the contact list) and now makes a call and Bob disabled "Allow calls from unknown contacs" the call will fail? But Alice won't know why (jami-project#1400 (moved))? Or will Alice also receive an invitation (In that case the option "Allow calls from unknown contacts" would make less sense?)?

• Now if Alice had been already in the contact list of Bob, but Bob removed (NOT blocked) Alice from the contact list, Alice will be able to send a message / attachment to Bob after he accepts the invitation of Alice, but as long as Bob did no accept or received an invitation of Alice - Alice will never be able to call Bob (if he disabled "Allow calls from unknown contacts)?

• If Bob blocked Alice she will never be able to send messages / attachments to Bob and also Alice can't call Bob (even he enabled "Allow calls from unknown contacts"?

Same if you use group chat (Multi-Swarm) and in the future Swarm-calls?

If some point are not already in the docs maybe you can add them.

1. Yes the conversation must be accepted

2. Yes the call will fail and Alice MUST not know why, because Bob will not send any data to a non contact.

3. There will be an invite if needed.

4. Indeed blocked will block calls and messages

5. same for call, if the conversation is removed/blocked there will be no call

But if Bob just removes (NOT Blocks!) Alices from the contact list and ENABLES "Allow calls from unknown contacts" - Alice should be still able to make calls Alice -> Bob?

And once Bob received the call Alice should be in the contact list again?

yes, because bob accept calls from unknown contacts.

No until the invitation is accepted

Just one more question:

If Alice BLOCKS Bob (JUST) in a 1:1 swarm but Alice still has Bob in the contact list of the group swarm - Bob will still be able to send group chat messages and make swarm calls to Alice?

it depends. If bob is the host, alice can't call bob as it's certificate is blocked, but she is able to host a call for the group or use another host.
