possible/welcome?: adding Email-chat backend (transport lib) to Ring daemon/frontends?
The https://delta.chat project wants to work on new messenger front-ends for their Email-chat spec implementation (core API). The current idea is to fork of the signal-desktop and -android code. But maybe instead of forking, collaboration with GNU Ring is possible and preferable.
Could you please say how viable and welcome it is, and what devs new to ring would have to work on to add an additional message transport back-end to Ring (in addition to dht and sip)?
Does the architecture of the GNU Ring applications (on the various platforms) already allow for adding an additional "E-Mail-chat" transport back-end?
