[Intercom] Allow 3-way intercom calls in a conversation

3 devices (A, B, C) each with Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon 64-bit and Jami

1. Device A calls makes an intercom call
2. Both Device B and Device C ring, say Device C answers the call first to establish an audio intercom call between Device A and C

@sblin how can Device A call Device B to create a 3-way intercom call/conversation with Devices A, B and C?

You can't or you need to create another identity. A call is between you and somebody. This person can have multiple devices, the first one to answer will be the one chosen.

Typically, it's the same thing with a contact. They can have multiple devices, but you just call your contact, not a specific device. if you want to have 3 devices in a call, you need at least two different contacts.

We have successfully made many intercom audio-only calls between 2 Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon. There have been calls which have been for a duration of over 3 hours. The distance between the computers is about 16,000 km. Thank you Jami developers for enabling intercom calls and having them work so well.

It would be very useful if there was a way to have a 3-way intercom call.

Uniden telephones allow an incoming call with a 6-way intercom call to be in one conversation (total of 7 devices in one call).

Can this issue please be reopened?

We have made an audio conference call with 3 people.

Two people were using the same account (intercom) and at different sides of the globe. They were both using Linux Mint 19.3 Cinnamon.

Another person was in another location. They have set up Jami with one account name on their Windows and Android devices. They were using an Android smartphone.

Thank you very much for allowing this very important feature.

Seems that n-way intercom calls are now available.

Thank you @sblin for all you wonderful work. Don't know how to express our gratitude to you and your team for this wonderful program and this feature.

The new person was using the Android device and commented how excellent the quality of the call was. It was just like being in the same room. Thank you once again.
