  1. Your link showed the Flatpak logo. Does that mean that the GNU Ring application in Flathub [1] will work?
    Again, that depends on them. Ring must be compiled for ARM platform, but most importantly, its interface must suit phone screen size (can you imagine full featured desktop app on the 5.5" screen?). That's something for the Ring developers to create, as our developers are now busy with the basic stuff.

  2. GNU Ring has a GNOME client [2]. You mentioned that Ring developers would need to port Ring to your platform. Can you please provide urls which indicate what needs to be ported?
    Sorry, I am not a programmer so I cannot help you with this now, but there will be public documentation announced (right now it is being prepared at https://developer.puri.sm/).

  3. It is understood that you are working with the Free Software Foundation (FSF) founded by Richard Stallman. Are you aware that GNU Ring [3], the FSF [3] and Purism [5] seem to have the same philosophy?
    Yes.

  4. It would be great if GNU Ring could be a native (i.e. installed by default) application on Librem 5 Phones at launch in January 2019. GNU Ring goes one step further than Matrix in that it uses a distributed network, not a decentralized network as well as "Connect Ring to Matrix as well as possible" ([6], slide 17)
    Yes, but I have already explained earlier the situation.

  5. Ring, a free and universal communication platform which preserves the users' privacy and freedoms, can be used as a:
    (a) decentralized and end-to-end encryption application
    (b) SIP client
    (c) Matrix connection
    (d) WebRTC client
    We are well aware of what Ring is.

  6. Your "Stretch Goals $4m = VOIP phone number, call-in, call-out features" [7] could also achieved with GNU Ring as it is also a SIP client. GNU Ring has been tested and works well on Android and GNU/Linux to make and answer calls. This even works when the device has a locked screen and GNU Ring is in the background.
    Yes, but you still need a "bridge" to standard lines, which costs.
