[Windows 10 & 11] Video call: resolutions higher than the display resolution(?) cause lag?
using newest beta version of Jami
EDIT: Just used a new / different Windows 11 pc but same monitor and reproduced (again)
Make a call Windows 10 -> Android
Windows 10: I used a monitor 1360x768. If I change the resolution of my (Full-HD) webcam to 720p everything works great. (I disabled hardware acceleration; except Windows 10 will always crash after some time)
Now I change the resolution of the webcam to 1080p. I will get a longer video lag if I disable hardware acceleration and if I enable hardware acceleration the lag issue will become better.
Now if I make a call Windows 10 -> Android the video of the Windows 10 user lags.
If the Windows 10 user changes the resolution to 720p (and disables hardware acceleration?) the Android user won't see any lag.
Although the phone support resolutions up to 1440x3120.
