Android 12 (Pixel4a) Jami enabled to run in background and no battery optimization.
Jami Settings:
DHT Proxy enabled
Local Peer enabled
Turn Enabled
UPnP disabled
A windows 10 client is linked to this Jami account. Windows client receives messages instantly. Android, if in standby to long will require the Online toggle to get new messages.
No. Not from either communicating device on the same lan and subnet. Will keep working on trying to determine the replicate able condition that causes it.
I attach some logs, for two devices (A and B) in two parts.
Device A is LineageOS 19.1 / Android 12, with battery optimization disabled for Jami.
Device B is Android 11 / Samsung flavour, with all battery optimisations disabled per dontkillmyapp.com
Config on both devices is: UPnP on, DHT proxy on, STUN off, TURN on, local peer off, run in background enabled.
Jami is F-Droid build, version 20221225-01 (hence no push notifications).
Both devices are on the same LAN: they share the same public IPv4 address (through NAT), but each has its own public IPv6 address. The router implements a strict inbound firewall, and does not have UPnP support.
Part 1 lasts a couple of hours. At the end of it, device A sends a text message to device B. Nothing happens on device B.
Part 2 lasts a couple of minutes. On both devices, the Online/Offline button is toggled, and then device B receives the message.
I’m not sure to understand what you mean. Do you want me to exchange accounts between the two devices? I don’t see what that would change, since accounts are normally symmetrical from a technical point of view.
